Welcome back!
Please join us at the park for our annual meeting and potluck. We’ll start with a brief meeting, followed by food, friends, and fun.
🧆 Food:
The Association will provide Sloppy Joe’s and hot dogs (thank you, Dorothy Santo!). Please bring a dish to share.
🎟️ Prizes:
We’ll also hold a 50/50 raffle and give away additional raffle prizes, thanks to Marty Hartman’s year-round bargain hunting!
🗳️ Board Elections:
We’ll be voting to fill three open board seats. Candidates include:
• Kenny Carter
• Dave Obee
• Christie Wilinski
📋 New Voting Process:
In accordance with our updated Articles of Incorporation, each paid up membership will receive one ballot upon sign-in at the Annual Meeting. If you can’t attend but want to vote, simply reply to this email with your selections. Please make sure your dues have been paid.
🚤 Boat Ramp Update:
We’ve approved and will be adding new gravel at the park’s boat ramp to give us a little wider and more stable area for our trailers to back in. Thanks to Mark and Dave Obee for overseeing this project. Hopefully, this makes launching easier!
📜 By-law Update:
To meet state gaming requirements (for raffles), we’ve added language regarding any potential Association dissolution to our by-laws (Article VI). This was approved on May 10 and filed accordingly. Huge thanks to Cathy Vorst (Kenney) for handling the paperwork!
🦢 Swan Reminder:
Please do not feed the swans! While beautiful, they’ve become aggressive, and bread harms their digestion. The lake provides plenty of natural food and keeping them wild ensures everyone’s safety. Thank you for helping!
❤️ AED Update:
The AED has been inspected, charged, and reinstalled on the tree at the park. Let’s hope it remains unused, but it’s ready if needed.
